OPEN CALLS

DETROIT SALON™ announces the launch of the DETROIT SALON Residency Program, an international initiative shaped by the October 2025 Paris moment and designed to deepen the economic and cultural impact of Detroit’s creative community.

The inaugural residency is presented in partnership with the Fondation des États-Unis, a historic center for American artists and scholars located within the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris.

From February 1 to March 2, 2026, one Detroit-based artist will live, create, and exhibit at the FEU as part of its Black History Month cultural programming. Rooted in exchange, the residency strengthens connections between Detroit and Paris while celebrating the global reach of African-American art and culture.
