Detroit is the birthplace of several distinct music genres including punk and proto-punk, Motown, techno, Detroit Drill/hip hop and home to many legends in rock, gospel, jazz, funk and blues. This conversation will talk about music’s power to tell the story of the city, and how these unique styles and genres have shaped culture globally and continue to reverberate across art, style and performance.
